24: Cloning in the Patch | grandMA3 for grandMA2 Programmers

Let’s check out the new #grandMA3 cloning process that’s all done in the patch. It’s quick, but it does require some updating (just like any clone). I’ll point out what you should look for after the clone and also talk about cloning to different fixture types. Hint: it’s not a perfect science, but I’ll show you what to look out for.

We’re covering:
🍕 How to clone using this new Patch style
🍕 After you Copy/Paste- what else do you have to do in the patch?
🍕 What do you have to update in your showfile after the initial clone?
🍕 I’ll point out some unexpected updates from the clone in your Layouts, and we’ll fix them
🍕 What happens to your Groups/Grids after a clone… and why we should update them
🍕 What do we need to do with our recipes after a clone?
🍕 Cloning to a different fixture type- the process and a few bugs that you should be aware of.
